When I first started this blog, I was looking for yet another creative outlet because—for some stupid, unknown reason—reading, journaling, cooking, crafting, gardening, taking photos, hiking, and playing video games wasn’t enough???
My main job in marketing and my side business of portrait photography don’t always allow me the freedom and creative joy that I would prefer. I love styling photos and I thought blogging about my cooking would be a new, enjoyable way to continue to hone my writing and photography skills while having some much-needed fun.
Unfortunately, I’m super self-critical (who isn’t AMIRITE??!) and felt that if a post wasn’t 100% grammatically correct with 100% stunning photos and 100% THE MOST AMAZING POST OF ALL THE POSTS…that it wasn’t worth sharing.
So, after some time away, and the realization that I don’t want to turn into someone who is ONLY driven by my career, I’m attempting to rejoin the blogging world.
As you may remember, my husband and I bought a house and, despite being moved in for a year and a half, it still feels new to us. There are so many great things about our house but it also has a disgusting amount of room for improvement.
So, here it is. In all it’s shabby, imperfect glory. The new Teensy Kitchen may not look like much but I’m excited about all the sights, smells, and tastes that will come out of this space.
Despite my hiatus, I do still post on Instagram and Facebook so make sure to follow me on both of those sites as well!
